Bucharest will host a series of concerts and masterclasses dedicated to the double bass from November 27 to December 2. The main event will take place at the Romanian Athenaeum, featuring an orchestra composed solely of double basses performing works by Händel, Bach, and Piazzolla. The event, "Days of the Double Bass – Joseph Prunner," honors the founder of the Romanian double bass school and includes musicians from Romania and abroad. The central concert is scheduled for November 29 at 7 PM, showcasing various soloists and the Contrabassissimo orchestra, conducted by Daisuke Soga. The program also includes the launch of a book about Joseph Prunner, along with masterclasses at the National University of Music in Bucharest.
