A company from the Monsson group is awaiting a construction permit for a 40 MW energy storage battery in Bihor County. The decision will be made by ANRE today. The project developer must prove funding for construction, indicating a high likelihood of completion. The battery will be located in Diosig and has a two-year permit validity. Monsson, led by Emmanuel Muntmark, is known for renewable energy projects in Romania. Previously, they developed the Bihor 1 photovoltaic park, which was sold to Electrica. As of October 1, Romania had 1,161 MW of battery power and 2,312 MWh of capacity.
