Consumer goods companies are increasingly investing in technology and AI to enhance supply chains, yet integrating these changes remains challenging. A report by EY and Oxford Economics reveals that while 94% of executives are undergoing transformation, only 9% have fully integrated these changes. The study emphasizes the need for faster conversion of data and technology investments into actionable decisions to adapt to shifting consumer behaviors. AI is becoming a priority, with 73% of CEOs planning higher investments in AI for 2026 compared to 2025, although only 37% report measurable impacts on supply chains. Additionally, 86% of CEOs believe competitive advantage will hinge on product quality and consumer value rather than brand recognition. However, only 27% of supply chain executives feel confident in managing complex situations effectively.
