Steve Ellis, the lead singer of Love Affair, passed away on October 30 at the age of 76 due to chronic illness complications. His death was confirmed by composer David Courtney and on Ellis's official Facebook page. Ellis was remembered as a legendary figure in the mod movement and a remarkable voice. Love Affair gained fame in 1967 with their hit "Everlasting Love," although controversy arose over their actual performance on recordings. After leaving the band in 1969, Ellis pursued a solo career and performed with various groups. He had recently recorded a new album and was hopeful for a distribution deal.
