The application period for state aid in the pig sector has ended, with 245 requests submitted for 1.296 million fattening pigs and 143,542 breeding animals. The support amounts to €11.9 per fattening pig and €13.7 per breeding animal, with a maximum limit of €50,000 per beneficiary. The total budget for the scheme is €11.54 million, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture. If eligible requests exceed the budget, payments will be proportionally reduced. Payments will be made until December 31, 2026, and APIA will conduct administrative checks on all applications before issuing payment decisions or rejection notifications.
