Nearly 30% of homeowners' associations in Bucharest face issues with hot water and heating as the winter season begins. Termoenergetica attributes these problems to malfunctions in the thermal energy production facilities. While 71% of associations receive adequate heating, the remaining 29% struggle due to both central heating failures and some associations delaying heating activation. Significant issues persist at CTE București Vest, which is under repair until November 2026, and CTE Progresu, which is undergoing modernization. Other plants like CTE București Sud and CTE Grozăvești also face challenges in meeting heating demands. ELCEN, the main thermal energy producer, and Termoenergetica are working together to address these issues.
