Nearly 3,000 buildings in Bucharest are experiencing heating and hot water outages due to issues in the thermal distribution network, currently operating at only 67% capacity. The problems stem from simultaneous failures in the transport and supply chain, exacerbated by necessary adjustments in pressure at major heating plants and the poor condition of many pipelines. As a result, residents are receiving cold or inadequately heated water, with significant disruptions reported in Sectors 4 and 6. Efforts to restore normal service are ongoing, but full resolution is expected only after repairs are completed by early November.
