PSD senators voted to provide financial support to pig farmers to prevent African swine fever. They also announced the continuation of transitional national aids for Romanian farmers until 2027. The measures aim to include these aids in the future Common Agricultural Policy and to assist farmers with biosecurity costs. Senator Sorin Moise emphasized the importance of this support for small and medium-sized pig farms. Additionally, the approval of transitional aids in the European Council will help Romanian farmers remain competitive in Europe.
