Despite adverse weather, they displayed Romanian flags and chanted slogans demanding his release. The Bucharest Court of Appeal upheld the prosecutors' request to extend Georgescu's preventive detention, citing serious charges including organized crime and fraud. Georgescu's arrest followed a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who claims to have lost 1.1 million euros due to a failed financing promise.
