As of October 16, Termoenergetica began supplying heating in Bucharest, but 29% of connected buildings lack heat and hot water. The city's centralized heating system, the largest after Moscow's, faces challenges due to outdated infrastructure, with only 635 km of pipes replaced out of 4,000 km in six years. Currently, one of four thermal power plants is non-operational, affecting service delivery. The situation is exacerbated by ongoing repairs and technical adjustments at various plants, which are crucial for maintaining adequate heating parameters. Termoenergetica continues to work on improving the system's efficiency and reliability.
