Alstom's shares fell by 28% after the company lowered profit and cash flow forecasts for the second time since April, citing delays in major contracts in Germany. The company plans to reduce debt by €2 billion and reported a projected negative free cash flow of €1.5 billion for the year. Profit margin estimates were cut from 6.5% to around 1%, and sales forecasts were adjusted down to 2-4%. The recent warning follows a previous one after the appointment of CEO Martin Sion, who is addressing long-standing execution issues. Alstom's challenges include delays in the Coradia Max train program, with first deliveries now expected in 2028 instead of next year.
