On November 1, a 25-year-old police officer from Bechet was found shot in his car. He had taken a service weapon despite being under psychiatric treatment, which prohibited him from possessing a firearm. His colleague, unaware of his condition, provided him with the weapon. The officer was critically injured and is currently hospitalized. An internal investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The officer was scheduled to return to work the following day and had recently undergone a psychological evaluation.
