The public transport operator RATBV received an additional 6.9 million lei to cover costs for free transport for various beneficiaries. This funding was approved by the Brașov Local Council during the recent budget rectification. The budget increase is aimed at supporting pensioners, veterans, and other eligible groups. The total budget for RATBV in 2026 is over 234 million lei, with a projected decrease in personnel costs. Investment allocations for public transport have also increased to 28.7 million lei for the year.
