125 million lei in non-reimbursable EU funds will be invested in the restoration and modernization of county roads affected by floods in Broșteni, Suceava. The project includes nearly 16 kilometers of roads, six bridges, and 54 culverts. The funding comes from the European RESTORE mechanism, with construction expected to start in spring 2027. Additionally, about 10 kilometers of road modernization will be sought outside of RESTORE funding. The CJ Suceava has allocated over 20 million lei for interventions in affected communities after the 2025 floods. RESTORE allows for rapid mobilization of cohesion funds for reconstruction after natural disasters.
