Authorities showcased new images of the Coif from Coțofenești, recovered after a theft in 2025. The 2,400-year-old artifact is undergoing restoration due to damage sustained during the theft. The restoration process was detailed at an event attended by the Minister of Culture and the Deputy Prime Minister. The goal is to have the coif displayed by January 15, 2027, coinciding with National Culture Day. The restoration involves a team of specialists from Romania and the Netherlands, focusing on correcting previous damages and reinforcing the structure. Efforts continue to recover the last missing piece from the stolen collection, a third bracelet.
