The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) plans to submit a simple motion regarding the Ministry of Finance's budget execution communication. Senator Petrișor Peiu announced that the Finance Minister will be invited to explain the discrepancies between the budget deficit calculated by European methodology and that based on cash flows. Peiu criticized the Prime Minister for avoiding parliamentary questions about the budget deficit situation. Senate President Mircea Abrudean acknowledged the opposition's right to submit motions but expressed skepticism about their effectiveness. He emphasized that simple motions do not automatically lead to ministerial dismissals and that the PNL will carefully consider when to use such parliamentary tools.
