The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) plans to submit a simple motion against the Ministry of Finance's budget execution policy, seeking clarification on discrepancies in budget deficit calculations. AUR's senator Petrișor Peiu criticized the Prime Minister's absence from parliamentary discussions and called for the Finance Minister to explain the differences between the European methodology and cash flow calculations. Senate President Mircea Abrudean acknowledged the opposition's right to use parliamentary tools but questioned the necessity of the motion, suggesting that previous explanations from the Ministry were sufficient. He emphasized that simple motions do not automatically lead to a minister's resignation and that the PNL will carefully evaluate situations before initiating such actions.
