The police were alerted about the 45-year-old man who allegedly targeted minors for sexual purposes. He was identified during a Sunday service and presented with evidence of his conversations with the girls. Following this, he was taken in for questioning, and a criminal case was opened. The Slatina and Romanați Diocese announced that the priest resigned from his position. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the incidents.
