The National Meteorological Administration issued yellow and orange alerts for heavy rain, snow, and strong winds in Romania. Snowfall is expected above 1,700 meters, with accumulations of up to 40 cm in the mountains. Rainfall in Oltenia, Muntenia, and Dobrogea will reach 30-50 l/m². Wind gusts may reach 80 km/h on mountain peaks, causing blizzard conditions. The orange alert is valid from November 1 to November 2, 2026, with significant precipitation expected in the western Carpathians and submontane areas of Oltenia. A yellow alert for rain is also in effect for several counties, with expected rainfall of 25-35 l/m².
