The Romanian automotive market experienced a decline in October 2026, with new car registrations dropping by 5.63% compared to October 2025. In the first ten months of the year, 109,326 new cars were registered, marking a 10.1% decrease from the previous year. Hybrid vehicles saw a slight increase, while gasoline and diesel car registrations fell significantly. Dacia led sales, followed by Toyota and Skoda. The used car market also declined, with a 23.8% drop in registrations for October 2026 and a cumulative decrease of 14.8% for the year.
