Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine would halt attacks on Russian refineries if the U.S. provides Patriot missiles, as requested by Donald Trump. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine cannot refrain from responding while Russia attacks its energy sector. He indicated that if the U.S. supplies these defense systems for 30 days, Ukraine would cease its attacks on Russian refineries for the same duration. The Trump administration recently approved the sale of 500 Patriot missiles to Ukraine, but Zelensky warned that delivery could take years. He also suggested that allies could provide missiles from their own stocks.
