Laura Bogdan won the gold medal at the U23 European Judo Championships in Naples, marking Romania's first U23 women's title in 13 years. She achieved this victory in the 48 kg category with four consecutive wins, including a quick final against Belgium's Lotte Vandevoort, decided in just 27 seconds. This triumph follows her earlier success in August, where she secured the senior title in Ne-Waza at 52 kg in Riga. Bogdan's achievements highlight her significant contributions to Romanian judo, as she ends October with two European titles in different weight categories.
