The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced a new program aimed at reducing healthcare-associated infections, set to launch in two to three weeks. This initiative will provide funding for hospitals to acquire disinfectants and sterilization equipment. Additionally, medical staff will be required to undergo training every two years on infection control. Rogobete also mentioned the completion of a pilot project for a national registry of nosocomial infections, which he plans to expand. He criticized the USR party for politicizing the issue and expressed his unwillingness to resign despite potential disagreements with the Minister of Finance.
