Pro Infrastructură estimates that the Nădășelu-Zimbor section of the Transylvania Highway may open around December 15. The completion of works on diversions in Nădășelu and Topa Mică is necessary for traffic to commence. Turkish company Ozaltin is expected to finish these works in about a month and a half, depending on weather conditions. Meanwhile, UMB still has tasks to complete on the rest of the section, causing delays. Once opened, drivers will have access to over 155 kilometers of uninterrupted highway to Târgu Mureș. The contract for this section was signed in December 2020, with an initial completion date set for December 2023, later extended to August 2024 due to technical challenges.
