The Danube's flow at the Baziaș entry point is expected to rise to 1,800 cubic meters per second next week, but forecasts for the following months remain pessimistic. The flow will stay significantly below the historical average of 4,700 cubic meters per second for November. Hydrologists predict a maximum flow of 2,000 cubic meters per second and a minimum of 1,400 cubic meters per second for November. This year's summer saw record low flows, leading to the shutdown of two reactors at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, which provided about 20% of dispatchable energy. Future flows are projected to remain below historical averages through January 2027, with interior rivers also experiencing low flow rates.
