Electricity bills may rise by 10%-22% depending on the supplier and consumer contracts, according to Energy Minister Dumitru Chisăliță. In contrast, gas prices for households are expected to remain stable until 2025. The minister noted that current electricity offers indicate higher prices, affecting individual contracts. While household gas prices should stay similar to last year due to administrative pricing, non-household consumers may face increases, especially those without long-term contracts. The Ministry of Energy is developing compensation schemes for vulnerable consumers, pending approval from relevant authorities. The final electricity price consists of energy costs, regulated tariffs, and taxes, with the ministry able to influence energy costs, which make up about 30% of the final bill.
