South Korea's exports surged by 93.7% in October, marking the highest growth in over 50 years, driven by strong global demand for AI-related investments and semiconductor shipments. The total exports reached $115.28 billion, surpassing economists' expectations. The increase was aided by more working days compared to the previous year due to the Chuseok holiday. Semiconductor sales skyrocketed by 259.4%, with significant growth in computer sales as well. Imports also rose by 36%, leading to a monthly trade surplus of $42.50 billion, lower than the previous month's record surplus.
