Alfred Simonis hosted a baptism party in Timișoara, featuring notable PSD members and the first public appearance of former Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu with his partner Sorina Cobuz. The event included performances by Italian singer Al Bano and was attended by various social-democratic leaders. Ciolacu's relationship with Cobuz has been under scrutiny, especially after he previously denied knowing her during the 2024 presidential campaign. Reports suggest Ciolacu resides in a penthouse in Bucharest, which he has denied, asserting he primarily lives in Buzău. He emphasized that he remains focused on political matters despite media speculation.
