Meta Platforms has developed a humanoid robot prototype named Max in collaboration with Chinese manufacturer Fourier, with plans for a second version underway. The project aims to expand Meta's presence in AI robotics. The first prototype, weighing around 48 kg and standing 1.5 meters tall, features advanced capabilities such as voice recognition and gesture interpretation. It was created in just three months and includes integrated speakers and a facial system for mimicking human expressions. The collaboration involved direct work between engineers from both companies, with internal demonstrations already conducted. The upcoming Max 2 is expected to have enhanced features, but Meta has no plans to commercialize these prototypes.
