In Romania, wind energy has become crucial during the recent colder autumn period, especially with the absence of nuclear power. Wind turbines were the leading source of electricity generation for half of the last two weeks, providing an average daily power of 1,244 MW. On October 19, wind energy accounted for nearly 40% of national production. However, on October 25, its contribution dropped significantly to just 3%. Forecasts suggest a rebound in wind energy generation next week, with expected outputs varying from 800 MW to 2,600 MW throughout the week. The installed wind capacity in Romania stands at 3,300 MW.
