Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, plans to propose pension indexing based on a calculated percentage, with an unofficial estimate of 7.3% and a budget impact of 9.6 billion lei. Pensioners will receive additional financial support in December, varying between 300 and 500 lei based on income thresholds. Manole emphasized that discussions about pension scenarios have not occurred with the Prime Minister or the Minister of Finance. He reassured that pensions will be increased next year according to the law, and there are no plans to freeze them. The decision on the minimum wage increase will be made in November, with potential implementation by January 2027. Negotiations for a new salary law will resume next year, aiming to address inequalities in public sectors.
