Today, Energy Minister Dumitru Chisăliță visited the Iernut Power Plant to assess the project's implementation status and completion stages. The new combined cycle gas turbine power plant, developed by ROMGAZ, is a strategic investment aimed at increasing domestic energy production and reducing import dependency. Chisăliță discussed ongoing contracts and progress with ROMGAZ and General Electric representatives. He emphasized the importance of completing the project efficiently and safely, highlighting its capacity of 430 MW and the inclusion of a 'Black Start' system for emergency operations. The minister reiterated the need for Iernut to become a functional investment for Romania's energy needs.
