Romanian consumers should not expect lower energy bills soon, as electricity prices are rising. Minister Dumitru Chisăliță noted a potential increase of 10-22% in electricity costs due to new supplier offers. While gas prices for households are expected to remain stable until March 2027, the actual bills will depend on consumption levels. The Ministry of Energy is preparing support schemes for both electricity and gas, aiming to present proposals for legislative validation soon. Additionally, there are plans to increase the use of Black Sea gas in the national economy to reduce transportation costs.
