Drivers planning to cross Transalpina must adjust their travel plans due to the temporary closure of a key section of the national road. This measure will take effect on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 14:00, due to adverse weather conditions and snowfall in the area. The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) announced that traffic will be prohibited for all vehicle categories on DN 67C, between Rânca and Obârșia Lotrului, to prevent incidents and ensure safety. A snow removal vehicle will check the route before the closure, and drivers are advised to heed road signs and avoid the closed section. Transalpina is a well-known mountain road in Romania, and current weather conditions necessitate extra caution for travelers.
