The Iernut power plant, built by Romgaz, is expected to start commercial operations by mid-2027. Minister Dumitru Chisăliță visited the site, where preparations for synchronization tests with the National Energy System are underway. Synchronization is anticipated by early 2027. The plant will have a capacity of 430 MW and an energy efficiency of 56.4%. It features a 'Black Start' system for emergency operations. The project aims to enhance domestic energy production and reduce import dependency.
