Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, announced that pensions will be indexed next year by approximately 7.7%. Seniors with pensions up to 3,000 lei will also receive one-time aid between 300 and 500 lei in December. He emphasized that without the urgent budget rectification, pension payments would have been at risk. Manole assured that there are no plans to freeze pensions next year and confirmed that pensions will be indexed according to the law. The increase is expected to take effect from January 2027, provided the government adheres to the current pension law without further exemptions.
