Over 600 delegates gathered in Timișoara for the USR Congress, where 24 members of the National Bureau will be elected. Three teams led by Diana Buzoianu, Radu Miruță, and Lucian Stanciu-Viziteu are competing. Dominic Fritz's presidency is not at stake, as he was elected for a four-year term in 2025. Oana Țoiu criticized Sorin Grindeanu for avoiding the prime minister role, while Radu Miruță mocked Grindeanu's search for budget gaps. The congress leadership proposed includes Silvia Dinică, Bogdan Rodeanu, and Allen Coliban. The first press conference of the new leadership is scheduled for Sunday.
