The WorkinRomania platform is set to resume full functionality by November 15, 2026, after a period of blockage. The list of shortage occupations for foreign workers will expand from 289 to nearly 400, following discussions between the Ministry of Labor and the Employers' Association of Labor Importers (PIFM). This decision aims to facilitate recruitment in sectors like construction and hospitality, which have faced challenges in hiring foreign personnel. The Ministry will issue two orders to modify the methodology for determining shortage occupations and approve the new list.
