A special jersey prepared for Zinedine Zidane for the 2006 World Cup final is being auctioned, despite him never wearing it. The auction runs until November 7, with an estimated starting price between €15,000 and €30,000. This Adidas jersey, number 10, commemorates Zidane's last match on July 9, 2006, where France faced Italy. Zidane was famously sent off after headbutting Marco Materazzi during the match. The jersey has been kept by a contest winner since 2006 and symbolizes a significant moment in French football history. Zidane is currently the coach of the French national team.
