The Suplacu de Barcău – Chiribiș section of the Transylvania Highway is nearing completion, with the first vehicles expected soon. Construction company Erbașu shared updates, indicating ongoing work before opening. The project, spanning 26.35 kilometers, began in January 2025 and is set for completion by December 2026. The contract is valued at 884.12 million lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027. This section aims to enhance road connectivity in western Romania and reduce travel times for local communities.
