The Ebola epidemic in Congo has surpassed 5,000 deaths, with no effective solutions found to control the outbreak. The rare Bundibugyo strain lacks approved treatments or vaccines, exacerbating the situation. Delayed detection, conflicts, and overwhelmed medical services have accelerated the virus's spread. Eight out of 26 provinces have been affected, with many deaths occurring outside treatment centers. This outbreak is the second largest in history, following the 2014-2016 epidemic. Recently, Nigeria reported its first case, expanding the epidemic's reach to West Africa, alongside cases in Kenya and Uganda.
