Canada has announced its intention to contribute 500 million euros to the EU's 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine, following a summit in Montreal. The EU loan aims to support Ukraine through 2026-2027, with 45 billion euros allocated for next year. However, additional funding is needed as some EU member states have opted out of contributing. The EU remains the largest provider of financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, mobilizing over 231 billion euros to date.
