BYD plans to invest in Romania's electric vehicle charging infrastructure by installing 10-20 ultra-fast charging stations. The company is also exploring partnerships with local auto suppliers and seeking new factory locations in Europe. Stella Li, BYD's vice president, emphasized the importance of investing in the ecosystem, not just bringing cars to the market. The ultra-fast charging technology can charge batteries from 10% to 97% in about 9 minutes, even in low temperatures. BYD aims to attract Romanian suppliers and is considering a supplier conference next year. The company has already established a presence in Romania and is expanding its operations in Europe.
