The burn centers in Timișoara and Târgu Mureș are expected to receive their first patients early next year, according to Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete. Construction and equipment installation are complete in Timișoara, with similar progress in Târgu Mureș. In Bucharest, work continues on the first burn center for children in Romania. The operationalization of these centers has faced delays due to funding issues, but the Ministry of Health has increased the budget through the World Bank. Rogobete noted that the projects were initiated in 2015 but were blocked until he resumed the bidding process in 2021. He emphasized the need for administrative vision and commitment to avoid such delays in the future.
