Bacopedia is a new online educational platform in Romania designed for high school students preparing for the Bacalaureat exam. It offers free basic access, allowing students to engage in exercises, lessons, and competitions with peers. Launched in October 2026, the platform aims to provide an alternative to traditional tutoring, which can be costly. Students can choose to study independently or compete with classmates in real-time. The platform also allows teachers to publish their materials and set subscription prices, with potential sponsorships covering costs for diligent students. Parents can track their child's progress, while sponsors can fund educational benefits based on student performance. Bacopedia emphasizes meritocracy and aims to complement traditional education, with the first Bac exam for its users scheduled for June 2027.
