The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) has initiated an investigation into the awarding process of the Bacău – Piatra Neamț Express Road contract, won by Danlin XXL. Currently, no individuals are suspects or defendants. Additionally, UMB, which lost the bid, is under investigation for a separate case involving a deadly explosion at a construction site. The project involves constructing approximately 51 kilometers of expressway, connecting Piatra Neamț to the A7 motorway. Danlin XXL's bid was significantly higher than that of Precon Transilvania, which was initially rejected but later reevaluated by the court. Furthermore, DNA is also investigating a contract for road modernization signed with Danlin XXL, amid allegations of irregularities. These investigations come at a crucial time for Danlin XXL, which is involved in key infrastructure projects in Moldova.
