LAUNCHub Ventures has launched its third fund, targeting €75 million, with €15 million from Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The fund aims to invest at least €15 million in Romanian startups, focusing on finding top entrepreneurs. Currently, the fund has raised €65 million and continues fundraising. Investments range from €300,000 to €3 million for minority stakes in companies. Rumen Iliev, the fund's leader, emphasizes the importance of identifying high-potential startups across various sectors, including hardware and B2B. The firm has a history of investing in Romanian companies and aims to support their growth without a specific sector focus. However, they do not plan to invest in defense tech due to a lack of expertise in that area.
