Romania exported 10.53 million tons of cereals and oilseeds in the first four months of the 2026-2027 commercial season, with wheat, barley, and rapeseed being the most significant products. Despite logistical challenges, particularly to Constanta Port, the country has successfully capitalized on international market opportunities. The expert Cezar Gheorghe highlighted that Ukraine's logistical difficulties have created more space for Romanian cereals in the global market. Future exports are promising, with an estimated 4 million tons of wheat and 600,000 to 700,000 tons of barley still to be shipped, depending on international demand and logistical capacity.
