The Government has extended the application period for safety measures in the electricity market until November 30, as announced by spokesperson Dan Carbunaru. These measures are preventive and will be enacted if the safety of individuals or the integrity of the National Power System is at risk. Transelectrica is authorized to increase technological reserves, activate technical reserve generation units, and adjust interconnection capacities. Additionally, tiered restrictions on electricity consumption may be implemented during crises affecting the National Power System.
