The drinking water in Curtea de Argeș and surrounding communes has been declared safe again after nearly a year of being unsafe. The Public Health Directorate issued a new sanitary authorization, allowing the local water supplier, Aquaterm, to resume full pricing starting November 1. Weekly monitoring confirmed the water's potability, leading to the authorization's issuance. The price for drinking water will return to 6.03 lei/m³ in Curtea de Argeș and 2.49 lei/m³ in nearby areas. The water quality issues began in November 2025 due to increased turbidity and contamination, prompting emergency measures and infrastructure improvements that have now yielded positive results.
